A curated clinic that includes instruction on the basics of operating a guide service, how to instruct a Ride Rasmussen Style clinic, AIARE Rescue Course and Wilderness CPR & First Aid training.
Ride Rasmussen Style is excited to announce the annual Guide Clinic December 13-15, 2024. We have been teaching an annual guide clinic since 2012. Our guide clinic has helped set the winter motorized guiding standard. While we require our guides and providers to attend our annual Guide Clinic, we also open up a few seats for external guests.
Have you ever wanted to increase your operational knowledge of how a guide service should be operated, or ever wanted to improve your risk management or risk mitigation skills, or how to manage a backcountry emergency?
While attending this course you will learn how to employ effective risk management strategies, such as proper AM/PM meetings, how to manage backcountry emergencies, gain leadership skills by leading small groups and leading a practical exercise. We will spend a minimum of half our time on the snow mastering what we study in the classroom.
The evolution of our guide training program at RRS is driven by a common goal to offer your guests a high quality and fulfilling backcountry snowmobile experience. Embedded in that goal are core RRS elements including world class venues to explore, exceptional guides employing effective risk management strategies and proven methods to improve guests’ riding skills.
The format for this year’s training sessions will feature 2 days focused on risk management processes and field application in guiding roles, followed by 1 day of training on RRS technique and fundamentals. The goal over the first 2 days is to practice the daily risk management flow and discuss a number of real world guiding challenges as a team, refining the daily flow and improving our collective guiding skills in a variety of scenarios.
We are also pleased to announce that in collaboration with AIARE we can issue CE credit for attending this course if you so require it.

3 Day Clinic: $1,150
This is a three day event that focuses on the basics of operating a guide service, how to instruct a Ride Rasmussen Style clinic, leadership tips and much more. This is one course that is part of our Instructor Guide Week at RRS and is open to the public. During the duration of this course we will spend time both in the classroom and on the snow.
