I have been passionate about snowmobiling all my life.

My first snowmobile purchase was a 1972 Mercury 440 Max purchased new. I was 14, yes this dates me but snowmobiling has been a big part of my life. I was a lead mountain snowmobile test rider for two snowmobile publications in the early 2000:s American Snowmobiler then later Snowmobile. com, this was a remarkable experience as I was able to work with my brother and son on this and also work with key personnel in the industry. One of them being Bret Rasmussen in which started a friendship.  As Mountain snowmobiles evolved better and better we noticed a disturbing trend as our fellow snowmobilers were perishing in avalanches. Education is key when riding in the back country. In 2016 Bret Rasmussen and I attended an curriculum development workshop for AIARE to develop motorized specific Avalanche course. That became the start to my professional Avalanche teaching career. I currently hold course leader status with AIARE  and completed Pro 2 level in March 2021. I also teach CPR, Wilderness First Aid, courses along with Rider Skills Cliques at Ride Rasmussen Style. I look foreword to meeting and working with you. Snowmobiling keeps me young!
